My name is Megan Marie Ohnmeiss and I am from a small-town in New York called Falconer.

I graduated from Medaille College in 3 and 1/2 years with a B.S. in media communications with a focus in Broadcast- Magna Cum Laude.

I began internships as a freshman and gained unique and hands-on experience. I interned at the NHL Buffalo Sabres, WKBW Ch 7 Sports ABC, NLL Buffalo Bandits and 106.9 KISSFM.

I then expanded my education as a graduate student at Kent State University where I pursued the field of public relations & communications and graduated in December 2010.

I traveled the country as a Chevrolet Spokesperson to a variety of auto shows around the country and enjoyed meeting so many new people! It was definitely a great experience!

I have diverse and proven experience in the field. I plan to utilize my skills and experience to meet all objectives laid forward.

At risk of sounding cliché, I will continue to reach for my hopes and dreams until I succeed.

GOALS:

To succeed as a public relations professional.  I am currently a Brand Manager for Brown Forman via Greenhouse Agency. I manage Southern Comfort and Tuaca brands through special events, consumer interactions, PR, strategy, advertising, and more. I absolutely love my job and would be the luckiest woman if I stayed within the company.

My masters’ project examined the PR strategy behind event planning. I planned a basketball game with local media as participants as a fundraiser for the Cleveland Boys and Girls Club. It was played at the NBA Cleveland Cavaliers first 2010/2011 preseason home game on 10/5/10.

I want to strive to learn something new and vow to never get bored with my job. I have a passion for public relations and want to live that passion.
